1、 Customer background

Pearl white repair base paint, acrylic system; Store feedback: Pearl base paint has slow flash drying, and dust in the paint booth is prone to stick to the surface of the paint film; The base color is too slow to dry, and sanding and polishing can easily result in sandpaper marks, affecting the final appearance of the varnish. The original formula CAB is missing, the solvent release is slow, and the base color surface has a long drying time.

2、 Adjustment plan

1. Add 3.5 portions of CAB-381-0.5; The pearl system is not recommended to be too high, as it can affect the shimmering texture of the pearl powder.

2. Strictly prepare 18% CAB mother liquor, confirm complete dissolution without flocculent substances, and then put it into production.

3. Construction of base paint: Spray 3 thin coats, each coat will flash dry for 3-5 minutes; After the base color has completely dried, apply a clear coat.

3、 Effect verification

1. The touch drying time is shortened by about 25%, and the poor dust adhesion is significantly reduced; After the base color is dry and polished smoothly, the sandpaper marks become less.

2. The pearl powder is evenly distributed, and the pearl texture is stable; The interlayer adhesion is qualified and there is no bottom biting.
