I. What is cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB-900)

Domestic modified cellulose ester, NC nitrocellulose substitute grade, highest viscosity grade in the entire series, white free flowing powder, highest molecular weight; Absolutely not used for car spray base paint, mostly used for high demand inks, thick artistic coatings, and special leather paper coatings.

Main applications:

Printing ink: high solid viscosity gravure ink, gold and silver cardboard ink, vacuum aluminum plating film, screen special ink

Leather coating agent, thick paper coating, textile coating

Thick coated handmade art paint, marking paint, special wood topcoat

II. Product Features

Ultra high viscosity, high molecular weight, and extremely high film-forming strength

The highest viscosity grade of domestically produced NC substitute series; The hardness, tear strength, and substrate adhesion of the paint film are top-notch in this series; Adding will significantly increase the viscosity of the system, and it is strictly prohibited to use high solid content or spray base paint formulas; It can partially or completely replace nitrocellulose NC, eliminating the risk of flammability and explosiveness of nitrocellulose, and making storage and transportation safer.

Better resistance to yellowing and weather than nitrocellulose

Excellent UV stability; Not prone to yellowing, loss of luster, and powdering under outdoor conditions; The paint film has excellent oil and chemical resistance, making up for the shortcomings of poor weather resistance of nitrocellulose.

Good solubility and compatibility

Soluble in ketone and ester solvents; Excellent compatibility with acrylic, nitro, and alkyd resins, with clear solutions; Used for compounding ink, paper, and leather systems; The formula requires a large amount of solvent to reduce construction viscosity.

Outstanding film-forming and printing performance

Accelerate solvent evaporation and improve surface drying speed; Strong wetting ability of pigments and high printing clarity; The paint film has high gloss, excellent anti adhesion, wear resistance, and anti sagging performance.

No need for dangerous goods control of nitrocellulose
