I. What is cellulose acetate butyrate (CAB-600)

Domestic modified high viscosity cellulose ester grade, replaced by nitrocellulose NC, high molecular weight, white free flowing powder, viscosity higher than CAB-400, mainly used for ink, paper, leather coatings, not suitable for automotive spray base paint.

Main applications:

Printing ink: gravure ink, flexographic ink, screen ink, gold silver cardboard, vacuum aluminum plating film ink

Coatings: paper coatings, textile coatings, leather finishing agents, wood topcoats, marking paints, handmade art coatings

II. Product Features

Ultra high viscosity, high film-forming strength

High molecular weight grade, with high hardness, good toughness, and excellent mechanical strength of the paint film; The viscosity is significantly higher than CAB-400; It can partially or completely replace nitrocellulose NC, avoiding the risk of flammability and explosiveness of nitrocellulose, and making storage, transportation, production, and feeding safer.

Resistant to yellowing and weathering better than nitrocellulose

Excellent UV stability, not prone to yellowing, loss of light, and powdering outdoors; The paint film has outstanding oil and chemical resistance, making up for the shortcomings of poor weather resistance of nitrocellulose.

Good solubility and compatibility

Soluble in ketone and ester solvents; Excellent compatibility with acrylic, nitro, and alkyd resins, with clear and transparent solutions; Suitable for compounding ink and coating systems.

Construction performance control

Accelerate solvent evaporation and improve surface drying speed; Improve pigment wetting and enhance printing clarity; Improve the anti adhesion and wear resistance of the paint film, and enhance its resistance to sagging; Give high gloss to the paint film.

Non hazardous material control

Not classified as flammable and explosive hazardous chemicals, simplifying enterprise safety assessment, warehousing, and transportation management.
