1、 CAB-551-0.1 Iron Printing Coating Complete Solution

Substrate: tinplate, tin plated iron, TFS chrome plated iron; System: Solvent based thermosetting printing iron coating (polyester/hydroxy acrylic acid amino baking system), suitable for metal packaging, food cans, miscellaneous cans, bottle cap coatings, and printing iron metal base paint (silver powder/pearl). Benchmarking against Eastman CAB-551-0.01 (commonly known as 551-0.1 in the industry).

Core pain points: roller coating leveling error, orange peel, aluminum powder orientation error, interlayer biting, overprinting color leakage, pre drying sticking dirt, baking loss of gloss, bending and bursting film, and failure to meet steaming and boiling resistance standards.

Product features: high butyryl group, extremely low viscosity, excellent compatibility, low Tg, better flexibility than 381 series, suitable for thermosetting baking system, only used as modified auxiliary resin, cannot replace polyester/acrylic main resin.

2、 CAB-551-0.1 is the core function of printed iron coatings

Metallic pigment orientation (silver powder/pearl base color): regulates solvent evaporation, ensures smooth arrangement of aluminum sheets, enhances flash, reduces flower formation and negative and positive surfaces, and is particularly evident in the iron roller coating process.

Quick drying and anti sticking during the pre drying stage: After roller coating, hot air pre drying accelerates surface drying and prevents stacking from sticking to flowers and dust; The biggest advantage of 551-0.1 compared to 381-0.5 is that it does not affect the subsequent baking heat leveling and remelting, while balancing fast drying and baking leveling.

Interlayer anti biting and anti overprinting and color leakage: The base color/printing iron ink layer forms a dense film, which can inhibit the strong solvent dissolution of amino paint when applied with clear varnish, avoiding color leakage, floating and color running.

Leveling improvement, reducing shrinkage and orange peel: extremely low viscosity, improving wetting of tinplate, improving roll coating appearance, reducing pinhole shrinkage, high solid content formula friendly.

Better flexibility: Compared to CAB-381-0.5, it has a lower Tg and better adaptability to subsequent stamping, bending, and curling of printed iron, reducing the risk of film bursting.

Transparent color retention and anti yellowing: The paint film is highly transparent, with good UV stability, suitable for transparent coverage and light colored base colors.
